Simone Blattner (Director, Slipped Disc) was born in Basel and studied directing at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. Following this, Blattner worked as an assistant director under Stefan Müller and Jean Francois Pesenti at Theater Neumarkt in Zurich and under Dieter Dorn at the Munich Kammerspiele. She was also engaged as a director at the Bayerischen Staatsschauspiel in Munich. Since 1998, Blattner has worked as a freelance director at theaters including Theater Neumarkt in Zurich, Theater Basel, Theater Luzern, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Bayerischen Staatschauspiel in Munich and at schauspielfrankfurt.
