Birgit Lengers (Dramaturg/Symposium) was born in Hannover in 1970. After completing her studies in theater, film and cultural studies she was employed as an adjunct professor at the University of Hildesheim from 1997 until 2002. Lengers is a professor of theater studies at the Schauspielschule Charlottenburg and at the University of Arts in Berlin. She publishes articles in the journals „Theater der Zeit“ and „Text + Kritik“ and is the theater correspondent for "Kulturmanagement Network". Since 2005 she is deputy chairperson of the Dramaturgischen Gesellschaft e.V. and has been Dramaturg for GTA since the fall of 2004.
