Daniel Brunet (Associate Producer) was born in Syracuse in 1979. After completing his studies in theater and film at Boston College in 2001, he began directing theater in Berlin with the support of a Fulbright grant. Following a site-specific production of subUrbia in a vacant lot in East Berlin, he directed Someone Who'll Watch Over Me and Gum as the 2003 Director in Residence at the English Theater Berlin, where he also founded their development series, The Lab. Since returning to the United States in 2004, he has directed within the Workshop of the Williamstown Theatre Festival and held seasonal directing assistantships at the McCarter Theater and Playwrights Horizons. In New York, Brunet recently served as Associate Director on the Resonance Ensemble's production of The Tempest and directed a reading of his translation of Meike Hauck's Blue Sky within the Soho Think Tank's Sixth Floor Series. Brunet was director of GTA's American Drama Series from 2002-2004 and continues to serve as Artistic Associate. He is a proud core member of Theatre Without Borders. His English-language translations of contemporary German drama have been performed internationally.
